About Me
I have been a "native" Houstonian since 1976 when I moved to Houston to attend Rice University. I graduated in 1980 with a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, and went to work for McDermott International, which included a three year stint in Dubai, U.A.E. I returned to Houston in 1987 and worked for an environmental engineering company. In 1991, I completed my MBA at the University of Houston. After that I left engineering and worked as a ninth grade Algebra teacher at HISD.
Drawing and painting have always been an interest and a hobby of mine. I have taken classes at the Glassell School at the MFAH in Houston for the past six years, and am now taking classes at the Art League of Houston. My journey of self-discovery in this life includes 12-step meetings, yoga, painting and playing the flute.
